Dr. Misty Stewart

She is currently serving as the Inaugural Director of Graduate Student Success in the Graduate School at Clemson.

Educational/training background

In her role, she focuses on new student onboarding, ensures that existing policies and procedures are student-centered, relevant, and consistent with Clemson’s vision and mission, manages the Graduate School’s social media platforms, collaborates with faculty, staff, and students on academic performance, and develops programming that addresses success through all graduate student lifecycle elements. Additionally, Misty has 20 years of experience in higher education in faculty, administrative, and advising appointments. She earned her master’s in management and leadership and a doctoral degree in higher education and organizational change. Her research interests include blended learning, student success, prior learning assessments, experiential learning, and the use of technology to enhance students’ experiences and relationships between student affairs and academic affairs.
