The purpose of these meetings of International Scholars (graduate students, post-docs, and faculty) is to create a supporting environment where the richness of our diverse cultures is celebrated. We seek to transcend borders by creating a supportive environment where members collaborate, navigate challenges, and collectively enhance academic and cultural integration here at Clemson, while also providing a social anchor where connections and friendships are forged.

She is currently serving as a volunteer in the Clemson area.

Educational/training background

Reeta Singh is a former faculty member of Clemson University. She currently offers workshops and seminars focusing on a multidimensional understanding of communication skills. She is associated with multicultural organizations and several support groups of Clemson University. She is the recipient of the 2022 MLK award for her services to Clemson University and the broader Clemson community. Her commitment to Clemson University results in a global community empowered to give to others through research, creative activities, teaching, and services. She volunteers her time and energy to make Clemson a diverse and inclusive community by serving on multiple university committees and boards as a liaison to community organizations in surrounding counties. Reeta Singh has 25 years of experience in teaching professional communication, interpersonal/intercultural communication, public speaking, developing public relations and communication strategy for nonprofit organizations. She is an adviser for several multicultural organizations. She serves on the board of Asian Pacific Islanders and Desi (APDA) Commission of Clemson University as chair of Education and Student outreach and works towards promoting and advocating for a critical understanding and awareness of the issues faced by the Asian community at Clemson University. She has a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Oklahoma.
